Hi everyone!

So I decided I’d try a cupcake nail art tutorial. It was definitely one of the most challenging, but others make it look so easy!! haha! Anyway, I hope you like it!

Step-by-step Instructions, and products I used!

  • Apply  a base coat if you want.  I used Seche Crystal clear base coat
  • Apply 2 coats of pink polish to all nails except ring finger.  I used OPI’s “Don’t Know…Beets Me!”
  • Apply 2 coats of taupe to ring fingers.  I used OPI’s You Don’t Know Jacques!
  • Draw lines for cupcake foil.  I used Kiss Nail Art in black
  • Draw you cupcake/icing (TIP: cupcake shape is almost cloud-like. It’s VERY tedious I know…)
  • Add “sprinkles” to your cupcake by dotting on pink dots (or any color for that matter)
  • Add red cherry on the top.  I used China Glaze “Ruby Pumps” because it’s a beautiful sparkly red.
  • To the rest of your nails add polka-dots using the color you chose for your ring finger.
  • Finish with a top coat!

Between each step in this nail art I allowed TIME for my nails to dry. You don’t want the polish to bleed. A quick dry product helps to speed up the process.

Thanks! I hope you enjoyed this! It’s super cute but easy to mess up if you don’t allow you self a ton of patience, lol!

These are so cute!!! I’m gonna have to try this, but I would only be able to do my left hand since Im right handed. That’s one thing that annoys me (especially with nail art) Im horrible at doing it on the other hand lol

Yes, I did a practice nail onto a plastic color wheel first. Then it took a ton of patience, especially when doing my right hand;D
