How To Do Dark Ombre Nails

Hi everyone!
If, like me, you’ve been wondering how to create the dark ombre nail look well I’ll have you know there are a few ways of achieving this look.
First there is the sponging technique to create the ombre look onto each nail… using 1-3 shades going from light to dark, or vice-versa.
Or there is the multi-colored ombre look like what I did above… and is WAY easier to do lol!
So I dug out a few of my favorite dark polishes (see below) and created this dark ombre nail manicure. I just have to say that it is SO not easy painting dark polishes as any little messup is so obvious and getting the color off your cuticle is so tough!! Darn that dark polish anyway, haha!
For this look I used 3 dark polishes and alternated on both my right and left hand. The shades I chose are in the navy/purple “family” and in the right light it looks amazing! No matter what my camera just couldn’t capture the real natural look of this, too bad:(
Let me know what you think of this look and if you like the whole “ombre” trend?
What are some of your favorite dark nail polishes?

- Rimmel London Lasting Finish Pro in Midnight Blue: I used this color on my RING & THUMB nails

- Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Eggplant Frost: I used this color on my INDEX & PINKY nails

- Unfortunately I do not know the color of this one by Sally Hansen. It’s a few years old, I have to admit and all I can say is that it’s number 08: I used this color on my MIDDLE nail
