Joico K-PAK Color Therapy ConditionerHi everyone!

So as you may already know, I recently colored my hair, and since then I have been paying a lot more attention to the products I’ve been using…

In doing so, I have come to absolutely LOVE the Joico K-PAK Color Therapy conditioner and just wanted to share my review with you guys!

As you can see, I bought the travel size just to give it a “trial” at first.  Well, my hair reacted so well that I went out the very next day and purchased the full litre:) My long, fine hair seriously was completely detangled, (I hardly needed a brush at all!) it left my hair feeling so soft and silky, and the color honestly seemed to look richer and revitalized.

So I’m usually a drugstore-brand kind of girl, but lately I have been opting for more professional hair care products in the hopes of trying to preserve the color of my brown hair for as long as possible so I can prolong my next trip to the salon, lol!

What about yourself?

And by the way, going from blonde and dealing with roots to brunette and not having any has been SUCH a relief.  You can check out my big moment of hair color change here.

A quick review:

So ok, after doing some research on Joico K-PAK Color Therapy conditioner, here is what I have come to understand:

  • K-PAK targets the “β-layer” – or the layer of hair that helps prevent color loss and protects from potential damage from over washing, too much heat, environmental stress etc.
  • Improves the hair’s strength, elasticity and maintains hydration and vibrancy
  • SMELLS AMAZING! I don’t know how to describe it… if you do let me know haha!
  • Price varies depending on size. I got mine on sale for $24.99.

Now I am no expert, and trust me, I am ALWAYS up for trying new products. Professional or otherwise. My usual go-to drugstore brand is Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Orchid & Coconut Milk….. YUM!! And then there’s Matrix Biolage my all-time FAVORITE professional line EVER!!!

So before I go, I’d love to know..

  • Have you ever tried Joico K-PAK, or other Joico products?
  • What do you use on your hair?
  • Do you prefer a professional brand? or drugstore?

Thank you for taking the time to comment below!

Have a fantastic week and good luck with these last few days before CHRISTMAS!

I tried Joico a few years ago and it didn’t work well with my hair type (wavy, thick and frizzy). For a really long time I was anti-drug store, but recently I purchased some Pantene and my hair has never looked better. Plus, it was only $4.99 at walmart! I probably won’t go back to high end for a while now! :)

I love Pantene! and a good deal!! It’s great when u can find what works best for your hair:) Thanks for sharing!

You only think Pantene works. It doesn’t. I’m a licensed cosmetologist and the reason why you think it works is because the shampoo contains ingredients that rough up the cuticle of the hair and the conditioner smooths the cuticle back down, making it feel silky smooth and shiny. Pantene doesn’t have any benefits for your hair. It doesn’t improve it or reconstruct. It also doesn’t help with hair color as it contains sulfates that strip the color from hair. Stick with salon products and you will have AMAZING,healthy, beautiful hair.

Also, Pureology product line is probably the BEST line out there EVER.

Hey Janna, I love your site. I’ve just done a Semi-Ombre’ thing to my hair (I’ve had long blond hair 4ver), and I’m just trying to get use to the darker contrast. And I loved your Joici review. I have a magazine/blog & I’m always looking for great reviews/tutorials to link to. I look forward to following your blog.

It’s always exciting to change your hair color! I have naturally light brown hair (even though I haven’t seen that color in years) lol! I’ve went back and forth from light blonde to dark brown every year up until 2 years ago when I decided that I liked it better dark brown. Everyone agreed, except my mom..figures! lol

I think I find it a lot easier with darker hair and now I just use the box to dye it and it comes out great. I recently tried One n’ Only’s Argan Oil Sulfate Free Shampoo and there Reconstructive Hair Mask. I liked both, but I REALLY love the hair mask!! Whenever I use I feel like I have a different hair texture for a few days! I wrote a review on it.

Anyway lol..I awarded you with the Kreativ Blogger Award!!

It is, my hair was in pretty good condition anyway but this just made it smoother and shinier and just gave it a real feeling of luxury (no I don’t work for them haha)
