China Glaze Re-Fresh MintHi everyone!

Ok, so before we drool over all the beautiful new nail polish trends for spring 2012, I just thought I’d quickly show you a swatch of what I painted my nails with tonight:  China Glaze Re-Fresh Mint.  Isn’t it pretty?  I have to say that it was a bit of a challenge to get it even as the formula is thick and so creamy.

This minty color has me thinking spring… and yes, soon enough we’ll be over the winter blues, warmer days will soon be upon us, and we all know what that means!

Essie Navigate HerNew nail polish trends for spring!

So far I have been seeing a lot of cools, nudes, and pastels.  Greens/mints/pistachio such as the upcoming  Essie Navigate Her (photo on the left)  It’s due out in February and is sure to make a big splash;)  No pun intended, lol!

As as matter of fact, the Essie spring 2012 collection includes 6 gorgeous colors that will have us all drooling.  Here they are with the names from left to right starting from the TOP RIGHT: Navigate Her, A Crewed Interest, To Buy or Not To Buy, Tour de Finance, Ole Caliente and Orange, It’s Obvious:

More exciting trends!

Another very anticipated spring 2012 nail plish collection is the OPI Holland spring 2012 collection.  Like every collection OPI produces this one will without a doubt be a huge seller.  What do you think of the colors?  Again, the names are listed from left to right top to bottom: Red Light’s Ahead…Where?, A roll in the Hague, Vam-sterdam, Thanks a Wind-million, Did you ‘ear about Van Gogh?, Kiss Me on My Tulips, Dutch ‘ya just Love OPI?, I don’t Give a Rotterdam!, I Have Herring Problem, Pedal Faster Suzi!, Wooden Shoe like to Know, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes:

Ok, so I just also wanted to say that there have been some other colors that have caught me eye lately and have me wishing for this crazy weather to be over!!  The snow, rain and winds have been awful and I am dreaming of warmth and sunshine… :)

Aren’t these shades I included below just gorgeous?

I think these are so refreshing, yet soft and feminine.  I can’t wait to see what actually does come out this spring and summer.

Ok, so besides Re-Fresh, this next color is also what inspired me to write this post:  I just came across Essie “Haute as Hello” and I was immediately smitten!  Seriously, you have to check out this Haute as Hello polish swatch from Pinterest I found yesterday and you’ll understand why!!!  It’s a Summer 2010 polish, but this is exactly the kind of color that I think will continue to be big this year.  It reminds me of cantaloupe.  I think some of the brighter shades like the tangerines, pinks (of course) greens, and turquoise will be popular too.Essie Haute as Hello

So, are you drawn to any new collections this spring?  Anything with a shimmer or glitter top coat is a popular and beautiful look for sure.  Oh, I was going to say, I haven’t tried any of the Nicki Minaj by OPI yet, but I have to admit that other than Pink Friday I’m not too crazy about this latest collection by OPI.  Their previous collection “The Muppets” was amazing. I think they nailed every single one in my opinion.

I know these brands are pricey, and I actually have never owned a bottle of Essie.  And like most of us, I like a good deal and will watch out for any dupe’s… but I have to say that several of them have me REALLLLY tempted to make a splurge;)

BTW, there is a fantastic deal on at SallyBeauty that I have taken advantage of twice now.  When you buy one Seche you get 1 China Glaze regular size bottle free!  So basically I got both for about $8.  I chose CG’s Ruby Pumps the first time.  The most gorgeous red glitter polish. ever. ever.!!

I think I will continue to update this page as I find new nail polish trends for spring 2012!

I’m curious!

  • What’s on your wish list this spring?
  • Are you into the creamy pastels?
  • Do you think it’s worth spending more money on salon brands?

Happy painting!

I have Re-Fresh Mint & I love it…I can’t wait until I can sport it on my nails again soon! Right now I’m really loving nudes with a shimmer polish on top. Essie is definitely my favorite brand (I probably own almost 100 of them…insane, I know). The LuxEffects collection that came out last Fall make amazing shimmery topcoats. Shine of the Times is my fave! I’m really excited about the new collection coming out next month. :)

Every single one of these colors are so gorgeous!!! There so pretty I want to eat them!! lol (j/k). I didn’t know about that special at Sally’s. I bought the Seche Vite top coat about a month ago so they probably didn’t have the deal going on then. But that is still a great deal!!
All these colors just got me in the mood for spring, I’m so over the cold. I need the sun!

Yep, Sally’s does still have that deal. I wish I didn’t already own the top coat. I haven’t heard too much about the base coat.
